Oyster Sauce Oyster Mushroom Stir-fried Udon

Oyster Sauce Oyster Mushroom Stir-fried Udon

Ingredients (for 1 serving)

  • Oyster mushrooms – 150g
  • Vegetarian oyster sauce – 2 tablespoon
  • Salt – 1/3 teaspoon
  • White pepper – 1/3 teaspoon
  • Sugar – 1/3 teaspoon
  • Black pepper – a pinch (for garnish)
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp
  • Udon – 1 piece (about 150g)

Direction

  • Boil a pot of water and separate the udon noodles in the hot water. Set aside. 
  • Heat a pan and add vegetable oil. Once hot, add the oyster mushrooms.
  • Stir-fry the mushrooms over high heat, adding salt to help release the fragrance and moisture from the mushrooms.
  • Add white pepper and continue stirring to ensure the flavour is evenly distributed.
  • Add the udon noodles and oyster sauce, continuing to stir until the sauce coats the noodles evenly.
  • Keep stir-frying until the oyster mushrooms are tender, then plate and garnish with a pinch of black pepper. Serve and enjoy.
