Sweet and sour gluten meat is a very delicious plant-based cuisine. It can be served as main, snack and starter. The sauce can function to arouse your appetite. It is very perfect if you have it with a bowl of rice. Seitan is made up of strong bread flour. It can be served as a meat alternative in many plant based cuisines.
Ingredient (serves 1-2 people)
- Seitan – around 12 pieces
- Tomato sauce – 2 tablespoons
- Water – 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar – 3/4 teaspoon
- Soya sauce – 1 teaspoon
- Sugar – 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil – 1 teaspoon
Direction
- Put tomato sauce, water, rice vinegar, soya sauce and sugar into a bowl. Mix them.
- Boil water that covers the seitan in height inside the saucepan. Blanch them for 2 minutes. Remove water. Leave seitan aside.
- Add a little bit oil into a saucepan and put the seitan into it as well
- Fry them and add the bowl of sauce into it.
- Stir fry them until the sauce is absorbed by the seitan. It is done.
